Then the product ships, the domain suddenly becomes a neon lottery ticket, and the open letter appears: $1 million please, I’ve lost money on meme coins, there’s a baby on the way, I’ll quit gambling if you pay, and here’s space.bot as a freebie because why not.

The calendar is the awkward part. Public records show the domain itself was created back in January. He acquired it later – late July-ish – which is close enough for him to round up to “one month before launch.” Close enough, apparently, to frame the whole thing as cosmic coincidence rather than the natural next move of someone already sitting on a pile of .bot inventory. When the timeline got questioned, the price helpfully dropped to $300k. Nothing says “principled valuation” like a 70 percent discount once people start counting weeks.

He had already floated the domain to Grok months earlier.
